My interest in DiNapoli Levels originated during my early trading days, in my search for better technical trading techniques, compared to the average technical trader in the market. Fibonacci numbers and its application in trading fascinated me and I used it to trade agricultural markets, but soon found that by using these numbers in isolation, do not give you an advantage above pure mechanical system traders. This was just not good enough for me. I ordered Trading With DiNapoli Levels and after reading the book for the first time, my trading already improved significantly.
As a qualified Agricultural Economist, my trading career started in 1998, based on fundamental analysis and simple moving average trading systems. Being skilled in DiNapoli trading techniques, I often found myself on the opposite side of the fundamental view of the market, but I have learnt to trust DiNapoli techniques above a fundamental view. This is certainly the most difficult and challenging part of my trading career. I believe that charts tell you ahead of the market, that the fundamental picture is changing. My focus as a trader is mainly Agricultural Commodities and higher timeframe trading, i.e. weekly and daily context.
After studying TWDL for the fifth time, I attended a private seminar in Bangkok . Being involved in DiNapoli trading techniques, one never stops learning and it takes time to learn to trust this system. I have been actively trading DiNapoli techniques for at least 3 years before I felt that I really understand this trading system. Knowing before the market where support and resistance is going to manifest and where to take profits and put your stops, is an unbelievable advantage, you just have to believe in the advantage and learn to believe it. The best of all is, it can be applied to any market and timeframe, as long as it is liquid. One really reaps the benefits when you learn and understand to make use of higher timeframe analysis when positioning yourself on shorter timeframes.
For Joe DiNapoli to compress almost 40years of trading experience analysis and skill into a book, internet-based forum and seminars takes a lot of effort and I cannot imagine trading without it. To all the Hyper Hanks, Conservative Carls and Diligent Dans out there, good luck and good trading. It changed my trading career.
