Pieter's Biography

Pieter is an active trader with 10 year of market trading experience. His formal education was in Economics, which he passed Cum Laude at the University of the Free State in South Africa. While studying for economics he thought it wise to apply the knowledge learned to the markets, which led to the first trades taking place while being a student. He also completed the necessary qualifications to be registered as broker on the JSE Securities Exchange as well as the South African Futures Exchange. After graduating he joined a local South African brokerage firm where he started as arbitrage trader. His interest in the movement of markets soon led the directors of the firm to allow him to do small principle trading, which led him across Joe DiNapoli’s work. Just before leaving the firm to trade for his own account he was senior dealer for the firm on the South African Futures Exchange – Equity Derivatives, as well co-manager of the private client funds.

In 2008, after attending 2 standard and 2 advanced seminars at the feet of veteran trader, Joe DiNapoli, he became a DiNapoli Expert on the trading forum for Mr. DiNapoli’s clients.

Currently he focuses on trading for his own account as well as presenting education in Joe DiNapoli’s methodology. Coming from a family of educators and teachers, 10 years of market experience and keeping him up to date by seeing Joe as often as possible for seminars enables him to carry over Joe’s methodology at a level understandable to traders just starting up, as well as a few years into their trading career.
